Australian scientists create glasses to help people with insomnia and lack of time zone adaptation

Anyone traveling to places with very different time zones feel the effects of a phenomenon known as jet lag: in short, the brain ends up being out of sync with the actual time. The Re-Timer, creation of Professor Leon Lack, is a device that "resets" the brain and prevents the feeling of disconnect between biological time and real time cause nuisance.

believed that jet lag is caused because the perception of light solar cycle by the brain has changed due to the time difference. The Re-Timer emits a soft green light, which "tricks" the brain and maintains the circadian cycle of the mind in order. This cycle is responsible for maintaining diverse rhythms of body functioning.

Re-Timer was developed after 25 years of research on sleep in Flinders University, Australia. According to the developers of the device, it must be used for durations defined and delimited in time. Depending on the need, this use of the device programmed delays or advances the brain's perception of time, preventing jet lag manifests.

The device can be purchased online for about $ 260 (U.S. $ 545 approx). According to its creator, the device works better than medications and has no contraindications.
